Whitney Houston ‘half-sister’ fake claims widen

The person who has been claiming for years to be Whitney Houston’s half sister has allegedly also been involved in impersonating Robyn Crawford, who was Whitney’s best friend.

Singer Alexis Houston “is no relation whatsoever to Whitney Houston . . . and the family is sorry that this person continues to conduct fraudulent activities in the Houston name,” a family spokeswoman told The Post’s Richard Johnson.

As Johnson reported last week, Phillip Bloch claims he was stiffed $25,000 after styling Alexis’ photo shoots for an upcoming album, Web site and tour. Bloch now tells Johnson that he was taken in by the apparently bogus Alexis because he was led to believe — via e-mail from someone claiming to be “Robyn Crawford” — she was being managed by Whitney’s friend.

Since then, “I had a conversation with the real Robyn Crawford,” Bloch said. The stylist now believes that “Alexis is not only a fake Houston, she’s a fake Crawford.”

Speaking for Crawford, the Houston family spokeswoman added: “Someone is impersonating her and using her name. The real Robyn does not have anything to do with this Alexis person.”

Alexis’ manager, whoever she may be, insists via e-mail that this is a case of mistaken identity: “I was born Robyn A. Williams and I was Robyn Williams until I married Richard Crawford 12 years ago. In all these years, I’ve only been asked a few times if I am the other Mrs. Crawford and never once have I said that I am.”

As previously reported, Houston’s office manager Jacob Ascher told The Post that Houston’s label, EMI, “was responsible for paying the bill” to Bloch.

EMI Music representatives did not return calls for comment. However, there is no Alexis Houston listed on the company’s artist roster on its Web site.

Asked why Alexis hasn’t been prosecuted if the impersonation occurred, Bloch joked, “I’m not sure she can be arrested for impersonating a fictitious person.”
