“Footloose” turned 30 on Monday, a milestone that surely depressed some aging Gen-Xers — but not the movie’s star, Kevin Bacon, 55.
“It was 30 years ago today Ren McCormack taught the town to play,” the veteran actor tweeted of his movie character on Monday, along with a picture of the flick’s glitter-filled prom scene.
Bacon, the late Chris Penn and “Fame” alum Lori Singer played rebellious teens who fought their small town’s prohibition against organized dances.
Bacon told The Post last week, “From a dance standpoint, the best scene in the movie is me teaching Chris Penn to dance.”
