Drivers on Mecox Road in Bridgehampton were stunned when they saw a man on top of a Porsche, with his arms extended wide, presiding over a cornfield over the weekend. But it was art dealer Vito Schnabel, surveying an expanse of property that will include a piece by artist Terence Koh. The work was described by witnesses as a corn maze with about a half-dozen scarecrow pillars, and it will be unveiled next weekend. “It was so random to see a man standing on [his] Porsche, looking like he was praying to the sun gods,” said a witness.
