BOB Weinstein made sure not to be without his Diet Coke during his recent visit to Canyon Ranch in Tucson, Ariz. The Miramax co-founder brought his own cans and was spotted handing them out to other spa guests looking to trim down.
Canyon Ranch (rates start for $5,140 for seven nights) doesn’t serve soda or alcohol, said a rep, adding: “While we don’t serve either, we understand that our guests have certain food and beverage preferences. Canyon Ranch meets our guests wherever they are on their personal journey to wellness, and if they choose to bring something with them, we respect their wishes.” Several other high-profile former Canyon Ranch guests also admitted to bringing in wine and soft drinks. “It’s not like they go through your bags to make sure you’re not smuggling in Twinkies and Ding Dongs,” said one.
