Man claims Angelina Jolie was high during Charlie Rose interview in 2000

Angelina Jolie was high on cocaine when she did an interview with Charlie Rose in 2000 topromote “Girl, Interrupted,” according to a man who claims he was her former drug dealer. Jolie, who rambled in the Rose interview about her tattoos and how hard it was “to let Gia go” — the drug-addicted model she played in an HBO film — was on drugs herself at the time, says Franklin Meyer. “She’d taken coke,” he told Life & Style. “She did the show and then she came back over after.” Jolie said in 1998 of her “Gia” role, “I hate heroin because I have been fascinated with it.” Meyer — who spent eight months in Rikers in 2002 for attempted cocaine possession — said he met her in 1997 at the Chelsea Hotel. He claims he saw her two to three times a week when she was in New York, either at her apartment or at the hotel. “She would generally spend about $100 each time. That would buy maybe half a gram of coke and a 10th of a gram of heroin,” he said. Jolie’s rep didn’t get back to us.
