Oprah Winfrey is good to the students at the Leadership Academy for Girls she founded eight years ago near Johannesburg, South Africa. Oprah recently flew in 63 students from next year’s graduating class to check out American universities on both coasts, including Harvard and Stanford.

The youngsters who made the 21,000-mile round-trip also got to meet Oprah’s pal from Chicago, President Obama, at the White House, and were entertained at her 42-acre estate near Santa Barbara, reports Montecito Journal columnist Richard Mineards. Oprah has pledged to pay for their college educations.
