Bradley Cooper does not believe that he is the Sexiest Man Alive, as People declared last month. In fact, “The Hangover II” actor agrees with online campaigners who say that the magazine’s honor should have gone to Ryan Gosling.

Being dubbed the hottest man out there is “the worst,” Cooper tells the BBC’s “The Graham Norton Show.”

SHOULD RYAN GOSLING HAVE BEEN ‘SEXIEST MAN ALIVE?’

He explains, “I’m finally at an age — I’m 36 years old — where I really don’t care about anything like that anymore, which is a wonderful thing. Then this happened and then I started to realize just how not sexy I am.”

Cooper can’t help but agree with fans who gathered outside People magazine’s office and chanted “Bradley Cooper is just fine, but Ryan Gosling is divine” after the annual Sexiest Man issue hit newsstands.

“There was such a backlash,” said Cooper, who stars with Gosling in the upcoming film “The Place Beyond the Pines.”

“Ryan and I were both in Paris this last week and a friend of mine showed me photographs from the paparazzi . And when I say ‘friend,’ I mean me, alone in my room, looking at the computer,” said Cooper. “And it’s like him walking around and he literally looks like he’s in a photoshoot, like he just came off the runway … There are [photos] of me, and I literally look like the neighbor who never really comes out of his house, and when he does, you’re like, ‘Maybe you should just stay in.’”

Cooper added that winning the award has changed his day-to-day behavior. “I have a lot of moments where [I’m] walking out and I’ll open up the door [and think], ‘I could do that a lot sexier.’”
