Kris Humphries appeared to be a wedge driving the tight-knit Kardashian sisters apart on last night’s episode of “Kourtney & Kim Take New York.”
The Kardashian sisters started out the second episode of the season as a cohesive bunch. Younger sister Khloe Kardashian flew from Los Angeles to visit her sisters in New York and talk to them about their ailing relationships. Khloe, who has been married to Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom since 2009, was even able to convince Kim Kardashian to visit her new husband in Minnesota, where he had fled to escape the distractions of New York City and train for the upcoming NBA season.

But the sisterly love ended quickly. Kim became enraged when Khloe woke her up early to say goodbye as she and Kourtney embarked on a road trip. Kim saw it as a symbolic issue, one tightly tied to her relationship with Humphries.
“Khloe has no respect for me,” said Kim. “There’s so many things she hasn’t been supportive of me on. Even at my wedding, she was so weird about it. She doesn’t like Kris so she’s purposefully trying to mess with me.”
When Kim later called Kourtney, then in the car with Khloe, it became clear that Kourtney had issues with Humphries too. “I think [Kim’s] just pissed ’cause she’s married to a barking dog,” Kourtney quipped after hanging up. Khloe laughed.
Shortly after, Khloe revealed that Kim had started sending her nasty text messages. “She calls me an ‘evil, ugly little troll.’ I’m ‘spiteful.’ I’m ‘jealous of her life,'” recalled Khloe. “It’s crazy that she thinks that way. But also sad.”
Even when Kim returns to New York, she and Khloe don’t mend their fight.
“I’m so annoyed with Khloé that I’d rather ignore her altogether,” explained Kim.
But as much as Kim lets Humphries sour her relationship with her sisters, it was clear in last night’s episode that her marriage was hardly sweet. When Kim visited Humphries in Minnesota, saying, “I will do whatever it takes to make it work,” it seemed clear that the new marriage was in trouble.
As the couple frolicked on their bed, Humphries said, “Oh, you did just fly in. Your armpits smell like a combination of uncooked fish and hot garbage.”
When Kardashian asked him how he feels about living apart, he sounded highly content, saying, “I’ve been able to focus here, get my workouts in. My family is here, so I’m good. I’m chilling.”
She later tells him, “We’re not going to have a successful marriage if we live in separate states.”
It was a prophetic line. Shortly after wrapping the series, Kardashian filed for divorce from Humphries citing “irreconcilable differences.” Humphries has since counter filed, seeking an annulment rather than a divorce to make it as if the two were never married at all.
