Jennifer Aniston says she is done living in New York

Jennifer Aniston says that she and boyfriend Justin Theroux are done with living in the “fishbowl” of New York City.

“We tried New York,” Aniston said on the Australian radio program “The Kyle and Jackie O Show” on Friday. “It felt like I was [living] in a fishbowl. It was a little rough with the paparazzi. It didn’t feel like the New York I grew up in and knew.”

Aniston added that the pair feels like they get more privacy in Los Angeles, where they recently moved into a mansion in Bel Air.

The couple hasn’t abandoned New York completely, however, and enjoyed a New York vacation this weekend. The two headed to lunch at The Smile in Noho on Saturday, followed by a trip to Alexander Wang’s boutique and glasses shopping for Aniston at Silver Linings Opticians in Soho. Later that night, they dined at Locande Verde, Robert DeNiro’s restaurant in Tribeca, reports Us Weekly.

While Aniston was born in Los Angeles, her family later moved to New York. She attended the famous performing arts school Fiorello LaGuardia High School. After graduating, she got parts in several off Broadway plays while working odd jobs.

However, Aniston decamped to the west coast for the show that made her a star, “Friends.” While the series was set in New York, it was infamously filmed in Los Angeles.
