Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has finally made it official that she has a meatball in the oven and that she is engaged to boyfriend Jionni LaValle.
The pint-sized reality TV star appears on the cover of US Weekly in a pink dress, showing off the beginnings of a baby bump alongside the headline “OMG! I’m Pregnant.” Snooki reveals that she found out she was with child about a week after New Year’s and panicked since she had been heavily partying, as per usual.

The star reveals that her first thought after taking a pregnancy test was, “‘[Bleep], I’ve been drinking!'”
She continues, “I was worried. It was New Year’s Eve and we were in Vegas, so I did go crazy. I was excited but then I thought, ‘Everything is going to change.’ It was a happy accident.”
Page Six revealed last week that Snooki was three months pregnant, despite having told “Good Morning America” that she was not with child. Page Six also divulged that MTV was scrambling to revamp Snooki’s “Jersey Shore” spin-off series with best friend Jenni “JWoww” Farley, which has already begun filming.
In Us Weekly, Snooki explains why she fibbed on national television.
“I didn’t want to lie to my fans, but the cardinal rule when you are pregnant is that you can’t tell anyone but your closest friends and family until after three months,” says Snooki. “I wanted to make sure the baby is OK. Things can go wrong. It was my business and I wasn’t ready to tell.”
She says that the members of her family were not uniformly pleased with her news.
“My dad was upset,” reveals Snooki. “He said, ‘You have your whole life ahead of you.’ We didn’t talk for a week.”
Snooki also explains that she will be opting out of “Jersey Shore” this summer because of the unplanned pregnancy.
“I’ll visit,” she says. “[But] I’m not living in that house being pregnant. I don’t want to be one of those moms who’s in a club. It’s disgusting.”
The couple also shared that LaValle proposed on Valentine’s Day at the W Hotel in Hoboken. However, the two are waiting to set a date until after the baby arrives.
“I want bombs going off at the reception,” said Snooki. “Lots of fireworks, pyro.”
