Jessica Simpson poses naked and pregnant on the April cover of ELLE magazine, channeling an iconic cover of Vanity Fair featuring Demi Moore when she was pregnant with daughter Scout Willis.
Standing in the nude against a grey background, Simpson poses with one hand partially covering her breasts and the other hand underneath her pregnant belly. She wears nothing but jewelry — chunky rings on her fingers as well as blingy earrings. She gives the camera a seductive stare.

The image is almost identical to a famous Vanity Fair cover from the August of 1991, shot by Annie Leibovitz. The image shows Moore, with short hair, gazing beatifically off the page as she stands naked, holding her pregnant belly and her chest. She was seven months pregnant when the image was shot.
While the cover proved extremely popular, some retailers chose to sell it in a bag, as if it were pornography.
“I really didn’t expect for the response to be what it was,” Moore has said of the cover. “I was pretty shocked.”
This isn’t the first time Moore’s famous shoot has been invoked on another magazine cover. In 2006, Britney Spears took almost the same snap while pregnant with second son, Jayden James Federline.
Christina Aguilera also channeled Moore on the cover of Marie Claire in 2008, though she wore a cropped leather jacket instead of going fully nude.
Moore’s iconic image has also been copied on the covers of V and Deutsch Vogue.
In her issue of ELLE, the 31-year-old Simpson reveals that, like Moore, she’s having a baby girl.
When it comes to names, Simpson joked it would be something common — nothing too out-there like “Maple” or “Apple!”
