Kris Humphries gets new lawyer to represent him in divorce from Kim Kardashian

Kris Humphries has hired a new LA attorney to represent him in the case of his upcoming divorce from Kim Kardashian.

Humphries, who was married to Kardashian for only 72 days before she filed for divorce, plans to submit legal documents in Los Angeles next week appointing Marshall Waller of the firm Feinberg & Waller as his council on the case.

Humphries high-powered Minnesota attorney, Lee Hutton, who is not licensed to practice in California, will continue to represent Humphries and will advise Waller on the case, a rep for the NBA star told The Post.

The rep denied reports the Humphries had filed court papers to represent himself. It was, “something someone cooked up for some drama,” a source close to Humphries said.

The Nets player originally wanted Hutton to represent him in the divorce, but California law stipulates that out-of-state lawyers must be accompanied by a local attorney.

Waller is set to face one of Hollywood’s top divorce lawyers in court, Laura Wasser, who has a host of A-list clients including Angelina Jolie, Maria Shriver, Jennifer Aniston and Britney Spears.

Kardashian, 31, and Humphries, 27, married Aug. 20 in a lavish ceremony that was broadcast on cable network E! and attracted more than 10 million viewers. The reality TV star announced she was filing for divorce less than three months later citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Humphries is seeking an annulment to the marriage instead of a divorce.
