Anne Hathaway swears that she “is not a saint” and reveals that she had a penchant for dancing on tables and “doing self destructive things” in college.

In fact, Hathaway claims that she has a lot in common with troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan, who also got her start in Disney movies, but was shielded from public scrutiny over her partying thanks to a good girl image.

ANNE HATHAWAY ENGAGED

“I never sit in judgment. Lindsay Lohan and I have more in common than people think,” Hathaway tells The Sun. “We’ve all done things we shouldn’t. It is just that I did stuff at college when nobody knew about it. I’m not a saint. I wasted time doing self-destructive things. I found out you can only dance on so many table tops.”

Hathaway says that the reason she seems so down-to-earth now is that she got a chance to be wild outside of the spotlight.

“I got all that out of my system,” says Hathaway. “And I am healthy and grounded.”

Interestingly, Lohan claimed the same thing this morning. The actress, who is gearing up for an appearance on “SNL,” told Jay Leno that she has given up her party-hardy ways.

“I went out, actually, a few months ago with a friend. And I was so uncomfortable. Not because I felt tempted, just because it was just the same thing that it always was before. It just wasn’t fun for me,” Lohan said. “I’ve become more of a homebody. And I like that.”

In a new promo clip for “SNL,” Lohan also pokes fun at herself for constantly being in the news because of her turbulent personal life.

“People are probably wondering what I’ve been up to,” she jokes. “America could use more information about me and even a picture or two!”
