Christina Hendricks is certainly a straight-shooter.
The “Mad Men” actress speaks candidly in an archery-themed photo shoot in V Magazine‘s sports Issue, just pages from where Jennifer Lopez poses in boxing gear.

“Oh, I can totally go unnoticed. I ran around all day today. Not a mention,” Hendricks says, revealing that she is happy with the level of celebrity she’s attained. “In Los Angeles you know the neighborhoods where you’re more likely to get noticed. And then you probably put on lipstick.”
Hendricks also reveals that sashaying through the halls of Sterling Cooper Draper Price is more physically taxing than it looks, and that she often used to leave the set with black and blue marks from her girdle.
“Now I put moleskin underneath the rubber so it doesn’t rub against my skin,” Hendricks says. “I still get a little bruised up, but I’m learning the tricks of the trade.”
Hendricks says she was shocked when her character, Joan Holloway, was revealed to be pregnant at the end of last season.
“It probably surprised a lot of people. It certainly surprised me,” Hendricks said. “Joan certainly has motherly instincts — at least in a bossy way … I’ve definitely learned from playing a character that is so confident and resilient.”
