Theater scion Eric Nederlander is known for theatrical tantrums against his ex-lovers — but astonishingly blamed male post-partum depression for his abusive behavior towards ex Lindsey Kupferman. Nederlander, who was famously dumped by Jessica Seinfeld (nee Sklar) after she had been married to the heir for just a few months, has had volatile relationships with his lady loves ever since, reports Page Six Magazine, out on Thursday. During his marriage to Kupferman, the two fought bitterly while she was nursing their 1-month-old baby, Mira, and Nederlander even threatened to smash her face in, according to documents quoted by the magazine. Two weeks later, Nederlander ripped up their baby announcements after they battled over credit card debts he had accumulated. Later, he explained his actions in an e-mail to Kupferman, saying “male post-partum depression is probably something I’m going through,” according to court documents. They divorced shortly after. Nederlander last summer was accused of smashing his lover Nancy Okun’s face into the plexiglass divider in a cab, and in January, yanking her hair to wake her up in the middle of the night. He was charged and jailed for a day, and will appear in court April 2.
