A Cosmopolitan editor is still sore over a freak accident at a Diane von Furstenberg show more than four years ago that left her with a concussion. Fashion and accessories market editor Karen Larrain was in the audience at the designer’s show in September 2005 when a light fixture fell on her head. Von Furstenberg apologized and sent over a bouquet of flowers — but a lawsuit filed by Larrain remains unsettled. “Although everyone acknowledged that Karen was the victim, [she] still awaits recovery,” her lawyer, Stuart Schlesinger, told us. “Rather than making a fair offer to resolve her claims, [DVF’s] attorneys keep adding additional parties and spending substantial time and money taking testimony of the many different people and businesses employed in the production and hosting of the show.” A DVF spokesperson said, “We were not aware of this, and we’ll certainly speak to our insurers to find out what happened.”
