The only way other patrons noticed Princess Cristina of Spain dining with a friend Wednesday night at The Mark was because of the bodyguards watching her from a nearby table. Her conversation was interrupted when the princess spotted Woody Allen walking by. She giggled and whispered to her friend, and the two enjoyed a “New York moment,” a spy told us. Over at The Plaza, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati threw a black-tie event that drew Tajik Prime Minister Akil Akilov, diplomats and members of the local Lebanese community including jeweler Aaron Basha. Some hit the hotel’s Rose Bar later. At Le Bernardin Wednesday night were former British PM Tony Blair, dining separately from Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who had his food tasters hovering in the kitchen. Chef Eric Ripert wrote on Twitter: “We have more secret service & food tasters than clients … courtesy of UN meeting in New York. No pictures, of course.”
