Ditched husband Tareq Salahi was crying last night on the padded shoulder of “Manhattan Madam” Kristin Davis after he was dumped by his wife, Michaele, for Journey guitarist Neal Schon.
Tareq was buxom Davis’ date at her birthday party last night after he hooked up with her on Facebook following his heartbreaking split with his attention-seeking wife.
Sources tell us that Salahi, somewhat ironically, asked Davis after hearing of her party at Hotel Chantelle yesterday, “I would love to be your escort.” Presumably he meant this in the old-fashioned way.
Davis’ friend, Roger Stone, told us, “Tareq contacted Kristin on Facebook, and after hearing about her party, offered to be her escort for the night. But this isn’t a formal date, Tareq is still very hurt over his wife. There will be a lot of beautiful women at the party for him to meet.”
Other guests expected last night included Irma Nici, a call girl who claims to have slept with both Eliot Spitzer and Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
Davis claimed to have run the highest-grossing escort service in US history, supplying call girls to the likes of Spitzer, and spent a few months in jail.
Meanwhile Michaele, a former star of “The Real Housewives of DC,” was pictured kissing Schon backstage after his band played in San Antonio.
She recently said she “walked away” from her husband of eight years because she still had feelings for Schon after a brief relationship in the 1990s.
Tareq, 43, has since accused Michaele of being “a groupie slut.’’ He told E! News, “She always told me she never wanted to be associated with that … Michaele going on a tour bus with a rock band, that’s what a groupie slut does.”
He has filed for divorce citing adultery and abandonment. Davis didn’t get back to us.
