Only Brooke Shields could get Lurch, “Asian Sexation” Calamity Chang and a 9-foot python together in one room for a party. The actress and her friend and makeup artist Tina Turnbow put on a burlesque party for her “Addams Family” co-stars at Nurse Bettie on the Lower East Side. Shields, who plays Morticia in the hit Broadway show, treated castmates including Jackie Hoffman (Grandma), Rachel Potter (Wednesday), Zachary James (Lurch) and Tony-winning Roger Rees (Gomez) to a spicy show on Sunday night. Performers included Chang, Stormy Leather, Medianoche, just back from touring with Dita Von Teese, Gal Friday, snake dancer Nikki LeVillain with her albino python and Honi Harlow. Shields, looking stunning in a deep pink Herve Leger dress, told us of the performers, “I really admire what these women do. There is such an art to it, they are able to embrace their sexuality, but also they make it fun.” And it was Hoffman who really got into the spirit, slipping dollar bills into the performers’ underwear and trying the live snake on for size, which looked about to envelop her.
