TV ‘Love’ experts splitting

Publicity- loving matchmaking couple Tamsen Fadal and Matt Titus — who called themselves “The Love Consultants” — have split after four years of marriage.

Sources tell us Fadal, an anchor for “PIX 11 Morning News,” and Titus, a dating coach and matchmaker, are now divorcing after separating late last year. Titus has moved out of their West 57th Street apartment, and the couple, who have no children, filed for divorce earlier this month.

The “love experts” married in 2007 at Tavern on the Green after Titus fell for Fadal, a former WCBS-TV reporter, after seeing her at a gym in Philadelphia, according to their New York Times wedding announcement.

They formed their Love Consultants matchmaking business and wrote books including “Why Hasn’t He Called? How Guys Really Think & How To Get The Right One Interested in You” and, “Why Hasn’t He Proposed? Go From the First Date to Setting the Date.”

The two appeared regularly on TV as love experts, including on the Lifetime reality show “Matched in Manhattan.” In 2010, they appeared on “The Nate Berkus Show” as the couple that “knows what it takes to maintain a healthy and exciting relationship.” Another show, “On the White Carpet,” was in the works. (Perhaps another book, “Why Didn’t I Leave Sooner?” or “How To Keep Up Appearances While Splitting With Your Spouse,” could come after the divorce.)

Titus, an ex-personal trainer, was married once before, and got into a serious motorcycle accident while reportedly racing to meet a love interest a year before meeting Fadal. But friends of the couple say neither Fadal nor Titus cheated during the marriage. “They simply found out they were better business partners than romantic partners,” a friend said.

The couple have now split custody of their two dogs, Matsen — a play on both of their names — and Parker. Neither Fadal nor Titus responded to e-mails for comment.
