There are a few surprises in store at today’s Friars Club roast of Betty White. We’re told White is plotting to make a special grand entrance at about midday, but there will also be jokes from Regis Philbin, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd, Norm Crosby, Jeff Ross and even Larry King. Barbara Walters will serve as roastmaster while guests will include Liza Minnelli, Katie
Couric, Matt Lauer, Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford, Al Roker, Susan Lucci, Dick Cavett, Kristin Chenoweth and Macy Gray. Beloved Uggie, the canine star of “The Artist,” will also be given a seat on the dais, and will be the third dog to be made an honorary Friar, following Lassie and Rin Tin Tin.
