Looks like Ryan Lochte wasn’t even close to taking a dip in the “Bachelor” hot tub.
The Olympic swimmer insisted last month that he was willing to look for his perfect match on “The Bachelor” but despite his eagerness, “Ryan Lochte was never in serious talks,” a show insider told the Huffington Post.
Apparently, Lochte wasn’t even in the running to hand out red roses. The insider reveals that it was ultimately down to Sean Lowe and Arie Luyendyk who both vied for Emily Maynard when she was “The Bachelorette.”
The insider added that ABC ultimately settled on Lowe over Luyendyk because “producers thought Sean would have a better connection with viewers and contestants and thus produce better ratings.”
A friend of Lowe’s told the site: “They decided on Sean because of the way women have taken to him. He is good looking, rich and most importantly he wants to find love. He has made it clear that he isn’t doing this to find fame, he wants to find a wife.”
Well, at least Lochte has that “90210” cameo.
