Tyson Chandler showed off his photography at Canoe Studios Wednesday night in an exhibition titled “A Year in a New York Minute.” While the show includes an image of Knick teammate Carmelo Anthony in a towel, Chandler is always respectful. “Everybody is cool,” he told us. “I’ve taken pictures in the locker room, like, OK, that one won’t go up. I’ve definitely deleted pictures. If I wouldn’t put it up of myself, I won’t do it to anybody else.” Chandler, whose other images include a portrait of Jeremy Lin and another of a lion, began by taking photos of his kids. “I didn’t want to miss a moment,” he said. “I saw a father at one of my little brothers’ events just snapping away, and it was, like, that’s what I need. I would just take a thousand pictures of my daughter, like, pose there, pose there.” Patrick Ewing, Amar’e Stoudemire and Alexis Welch, Allan Houston, J.R. Smit
h and Jason Kidd and his wife, Porschla, who bid $1,500 on a photo, were in attendance.
