Door diss for ‘too old’ Judd

Movie director Judd Apatow was denied entry to the Teen Vogue 10th annual Young Hollywood party in a snub similar to one suffered by his wife Leslie Mann’s character in his 2007 comedy, “Knocked Up” — for being too old.

Teen Vogue honored Hollywood’s young faces in Los Angeles Thursday night, including Nikki Reed, Hailee Steinfeld, Victoria Justice, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Ariel Winter and Sarah Hyland. Apatow’s 15-year-old daughter, Maude Apatow, is a contributor to the magazine and profiled pop band One Direction in a recent issue.

We’re told Mann and Maude arrived at the Emporio Armani-sponsored party early to walk the red carpet, while Judd stood off to the side to take photos. But when he tried to enter, he was stopped by security.

“Judd was trying to get a photo of his wife and daughter and was asked to move by security,” a source told us. “Security then asked him if he had a wristband or a stamp. He said no, and they asked him to move from the area altogether.”

Sources tell us that Apatow, 44, was “obviously over the Teen Vogue age limit of teens and 20-somethings.”

The incident echoed how Mann’s character in “Knocked Up” was denied entry into an LA nightclub after she rolled up to the line with a pregnant friend, played by Katherine Heigl. “I can’t let you in because you’re old as [bleep]. For this club, not you know, for the earth,” the doorman, played by Craig Robinson, explains to Mann. “You old, she pregnant. I can’t have a bunch of old, pregnant [bleeps] running around. That’s crazy.”

But before long, a publicist spotted Apatow and arranged for him to join his family in the Young Hollywood party. “He was super-sweet and not bothered at all — almost like he was used to it.”

His reaction was also the complete opposite of Mann’s in “Knocked Up,” when she screamed at the doorman in retaliation: “You’re just some ’roided out freak with a [bleeping] clipboard and your stupid little [bleeping] rope!”
