Sheryl Crow has opened up about her disgraced ex-fiancé Lance Armstrong’s doping confession.
The singer insisted that the bicyclist made the right decision to come clean during his interview with Oprah Winfrey last week.
Even though she only checked out “bits and pieces” of his interview with the talk show queen, Crow tells “Entertainment Tonight,” “I think that honesty is always the best bet and that the truth will set you free….To carry around a weight like that would be devastating in the long run.”
During Armstrong’s interview with Oprah he confessed to lying about using performance enhancing drugs in the past.
Crow and Armstrong began dating in 2003 and announced their engagement in September 2005, but separated in February 2006.
