Katherine Webb can now capitalize on her 15 minutes of fame with the full support of her boyfriend AJ McCarron.
Webb shot to fame when ESPN commentator Brent Musburger went gaga by calling her a “beautiful woman” during the Alabama-Notre Dame game.
The Alabama quarterback was allegedly discouraging his beauty queen girlfriend from making public appearances but now that Alabama’s season is over, McCarron has given his full blessing to Webb’s Hollywood move, TMZ reports.
Webb has signed up for a new reality show called “Celebrity Diving” and recently scored a gig on “Inside Edition” to provide on-air reports from the Super Bowl. According to TMZ, McCarron fully supports both deals, even if he was initially concerned that Webb might steal the spotlight from Alabama’s success.
Page Six reported that the former Miss Alabama swept through New York City last week for a photo shoot for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue — and she is now planning a permanent move to the Big Apple. She is being repped by LA Models and its New York sister company NY Models.
The pretty brunette was overheard telling fans at Meatpacking District restaurant Toy that she was moving to town to pursue a full-time modeling career.
Webb was also overheard saying that she was offered a spot in the upcoming season of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” but did not say whether she would participate.
