More trouble? Sofia, Nick drop house hunt

In a further sign that stunning Latin beauty Sofia Vergara and her fiancé, Nick Loeb, are on the rocks, the pair have called off their search for a new Beverly Hills mansion.

We’re told the fiery pair, who were involved in a New Year’s Eve dust-up which ended with him being kicked out of a club, have put their search for a new Los Angeles pad temporarily on hold.

A source told us, “They were looking at mansions in Beverly Hills and Westwood, but Nick’s realtors just called it off, and were saying they were breaking up.”

However another source claimed, “They are currently still together and are trying to work things out — but it is rocky.”

Page Six exclusively revealed that the gorgeous “Modern Family” actress, 40, and Loeb, 37, were involved in a New Year’s Eve altercation at Miami Beach club Story. The incident ended with her dress ripped and Loeb, the son of Ronald Reagan-era ambassador to Denmark John Loeb, being thrown out of the night spot.

The pair also briefly split in May of last year after a series of arguments, but they reconciled and were engaged in front of Vergara’s family and friends during a birthday trip to Mexico last July.

But things have not been entirely smooth between the couple, who took a month to officially confirm the engagement. It was reported this week that they had started couples counseling.

Star Magazine said they had a therapy session over the phone, and, “Nick can be jealous, and Sofia likes drama.”

The pair quickly made up after the New Year’s Eve incident, but sources said she was embarrassed by the scene and suggested counseling.

We recently revealed that Sofia, TV’s highest-paid actress, was talking to Reese Witherspoon about starring in a comedy together.

Reps for Sofia and Nick didn’t get back to us last night.
