Aside from Michelle Obama’s bangs, all eyes were on the First Family’s fashion choices yesterday at the presidential inauguration in Washington, D.C. But fans of Malia’s plum coat or the First Lady’s rhinestone sash will be disappointed to learn that the items are not publicly available.

“Obviously people want to have a part of what she’s wearing, but most often she’s purchased it from previous seasons or has pulled it out of her closet so it’s not available,” Lyons told “Today.” “We won’t [re-run these items], just out of respect for the First Family.”

“The [$325] lady day coat that Malia was wearing has been in our line for years, and we’ll continue that, but we’ll retire the color,” she continued.

As for the $265 sash Michelle wore over her Thom Browne coat, “We won’t rerun that [either],” Lyons said. “She did her own thing to that, and out of respect, we’ll let her have that moment.”

“As far as we know, they literally ordered online and they shop just like anyone else in America,” Lyons said. “We found out that morning, just like the rest of the world.”
