Rihanna & Chris Brown romance ‘cracks’ Lena Dunham’s heart

Like the title of their recent duet, whatever Rihanna and Chris Brown get up to is “Nobody’s Business.”

Still, Lena Dunham had a few words to say about Rihanna’s eyebrow-raising reconciliation with the R&B singer who sent her to the hospital in 2009.

“[Stardom] an amazing thing and it’s like, it’s a platform that you have to take seriously. Which is why sometimes, it’s like, I used to be really into Rihanna, that pop star, and then it’s like again, I don’t want to ever throw stones from my glass house, but I follow her on Instagram and I just think about how many little girls beyond what I could even comprehend are obsessed with Rihanna,” said the “Girls” star on Alec Balwin’s podcast “Here’s the Thing.”

She explained that Rihanna’s on-and-off-and-on again romance with Brown may be a poor example to the “Diamonds” singer’s fans.

“Like you know, she left Barbados, she’s had this amazing career, she’s won a Grammy… She’s talented,” Dunham continued. “And then she gets back together with Chris Brown and posts a million pictures of them smoking marijuana together on a bed. And it cracks my heart in half in a way that makes me feel like I’m 95 years old.”

This isn’t the first time Dunham weighed in on the controversial couple. She tweeted last February, “Rihanna and Chris Brown’s new duets make me want to go hide under Gloria Steinem’s bed for 72 hours.”

In related news, Rihanna and Brown worked on another duet last week. The song is set to be their fourth musical collaboration after “Nobody’s Business” and remixes for “Birthday Cake” and “Turn Up the Music.”
