Dos Caminos whiz Stephen Hanson’s launching new spot Hilo Bar in the subterranean Meatpacking District space that formerly housed the Bunker Club, Page Six has exclusively learned. The revamped space will open for some private Tribeca Film Festival bashes next week before officially debuting April 26. The boite in an abandoned vault under Ninth Avenue will have exposed-brick walls and a black-and-white checkered dance floor. But while our club-crawling spy said that Hilo will “still have DJs and a lively dance floor,” it will ditch“the hassle of a velvet rope or reservations.” In the same ’hood, Hanson’s BR Guest already owns 675 Bar, a Dos Caminos and Bill’s Bar and Burger. Bunker closed in June.
