When Sen. Chuck Schumer and Karl Rove ran into one another by chance on Friday at the corner of 46th Street and Fifth Avenue, they couldn’t resist partisan bickering. The liberal New York senator spotted Rove, the “brains” behind George W. Bush, on the corner and rolled down his car window to say hello. According to a spy, Rove replied, “Hey, senator, you won’t like why I’m here today. I’m raising money for the Senate Republicans.” Schumer replied, “If you stay in New York long enough, it will change your views.” When we reached out to Rove’s rep, she explained, “Schumer yelled at Karl to welcome him to New York.” She said Rove then added “that he raised $1 million at lunch to elect more Senate Republicans.” Schumer’s rep didn’t get back to us. Where is the love?
