Poster boy for excessive poster fines Mayor Bloomberg blasted elected officials about putting up campaign fliers yesterday, calling them an “eyesore” — but failed to acknowledge his own flier fiasco. “We have a law that makes sense so that you don’t have all these posters all over the place,” Bloomberg told The Post. “If elected officials don’t follow the law, what hope is there for everybody else?” But during his 2005 mayoral campaign, he topped the list of poster pests with 4,218 summonses and a $307,725 fine. A City Hall rep said, “He’s making a point about accountability — if you get a ticket, then you should pay it.”
