New York high society is getting ready for the arrival of Britain’s Prince Harry. The rosy-cheeked royal will arrive on Thursday for a week and will play in the Sentebale Polo Cup on May 15 at the Greenwich polo club owned by Peter Brant. Harry will captain the Land Rover Sentebale team, and Nacho Figueras will captain the opposing team with Brant. Harry will tour Hurricane Sandy-hit areas of New Jersey, where he will learn about the recovery effort. He will also attend an event in New York that relates to his philanthropic work with sports. Some lucky top names in New York high society have been invited to meet Harry — Britain’s most eligible bachelor — including Anne Hearst McInerney, her husband Jay McInerney, Stephanie Seymour, Figueras and his wife, Delfina Blaquier. The 28-year-old prince, who is third in line for the throne, will visit Washington, DC, Thursday, then Colorado for the 2013 Warrior Games, and then will be onto New Jersey, Manhattan and Connecticut for the polo match before flying home. Harry, who was famously photographed naked earlier last year during a night out in Vegas, will tour New Jersey with Gov. Chris Christie, who said on his radio show, “I’m going to be spending the entire day with Prince Harry. And so believe me: Nobody’s going to get naked if I’m spending the entire day with him, OK? I think I can assure the people of New Jersey that. Much to their relief.”
