Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson won’t be exactly back in his old ’hood early Friday night, but he’ll be close. Fiddy, as he is known, is due at 6:30 p.m. at Resorts World Casino, in South Ozone Park, Queens, the very backyard of his trouble-prone childhood in South Jamaica.
In addition to touting his boxing promotion company, SMS Promotions, Jackson — who was once an amateur boxer — will be on hand for a night of “Big Apple Boxing” and to talk up the resurgent career of a new pugilist to join his fight stable: world junior middleweight contender James Kirkland (32-1, 28 KOs), fresh off his sixth round technical knockout of Glen Tapia earlier this month in Atlantic City.
