WATCH: The new trailer for ‘The Great Gatsby’

The glittering new trailer for Baz Luhrmann’s “The Great Gatsby” has been released online, and it looks like there are plenty of reasons to be excited about the movie, now set to hit theaters in May.

The new trailer trains its focus on Leonardo DiCaprio’s dashing titular character Jay Gatsby.

“I am the son of some very wealthy people,” Gatsby explains. “Sadly, they’re all dead now.”

The clip, vibrant with exaggerated colors, features fast cars, epic parties and sinister undertones. The Kanye/Jay-Z track “No Church in the Wild,” featured in the original trailer, makes a return appearance. “Bedroom Hymns” by Florence + the Machines and Filter’s cover of “Happy Together” are also featured.

Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan also star in the highly anticipated adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel.

The film was originally slated to open this month before getting pushed back to next May.
