Kim K threatens to drop Instagram over policy changes

Kim Kardashian is taking a stand…about her pictures.

Instagram’s No. 1 fan is said to be outraged over the photo-sharing sites’ new terms of service.

She tweeted on Tuesday, “I really loved Instagram 🙁 I need to review this new policy. I don’t think its fair.”

The company faced intense backlash this week over language that implied they could sell users’ photos to advertisers without compensation. Page Six reported that many celebs including Anderson Cooper, Coco Rocha and Seth Green were up in arms and considered deleting their accounts.

Despite Instagram’s co-founder kicking himself and issuing a statement to clarify the misconception, sources told TMZ that Kardashian isn’t biting and is allegedly telling others to boycott Instagram unless they reconsider its policies.

Here’s why Instagram should be slightly afraid: As much as the reality star is picked on, she has tremendous social media clout.

On top of her 16.8 million Twitter followers, she has the highest number of Instagram followers at 5.7 million. In comparison, Justin Bieber has 4.3 million and President Obama has 1.8 million.

Indeed, Kardashian’s account has been in tranquil silence for two days – that’s a lot for her.

Kardashian’s exodus could mean a big loss for the company. TMZ suggested that the rest of her attention-loving family, Khloe, Kylie, Kendall, Rob (who are also among the most followed on the site) might follow suit with their middle sis.

A source told the gossip site that Kardashian is waiting for Instagram to revise their terms of service before she makes a final decision. Until then, the world will at least have a lot fewer Lo-fi filtered pics to roll its eyes at.
