SunHee Grinnell, Vanity Fair’s beauty director, got overheated during a fund-raiser to benefit the Red Hook Initiative Teen Chef Program at Seersucker restaurant in Brooklyn last week. Literally. The writer (and Helmut Newton model) accidentally set the sleeve of her chic black Chanel jacket on fire. Quick-thinking Lucky Editor in Chief Brandon Holley came to the rescue, alerting Grinnell to the smoky situation and keeping the flames from spreading. So what does the singed fringe of Chanel smell like? “Roasted marshmallows,” Holley quipped. Also on hand were Glamour’s Cindi Leive, Brides’ Anne Fulenwider and People’s Larry Hackett.
