The FBI and LAPD have reportedly launched a joint investigation after a suspicious package was sent to Bristol Palin on the set of “Dancing with the Stars” this week.
TMZ reports that the agencies are taking the threat very seriously, and are looking into the possibility that the incident is connected to the anthrax scare in 2010.
The package was addressed to Palin and contained a white powdery substance. It was opened on the CBS lot in West Hollywood on Wednesday.
An enclosed note demanded that Palin be removed from the show, reading “This is what will happen to you if Bristol Palin stays on [the show].”
The gossip site claims that initial tests in the field revealed the powder to be harmless.
