Ethan Hawke says that shooting a horror flick is not as intense as you’d think. “You go to the set of one of these really crazy comedies, [and] it’s a bunch of depressed people sitting around smoking and wondering why they’re alive,” he told us at the screening of his movie “Sinister” at the Tribeca Grand. “You go to the set of a scary movie, and everyone is building a haunted house and laughing.” Hawke says he isn’t afraid of the paranormal, but does have some real fears: “dying,” and adding, “I’m scared of life.”
