A New restaurant-slash-art installation on the Lower East Side is planning what sounds like a particularly raucous pre-opening bash May 13th. The event at new Preserve 24 promises “artists, plate-spinners, and midget body-builders,” and, if you still have an appetite after all that, “rustic cuisine.” The venue is housed in a trio of century-old tenement buildings and decorated with reclaimed antiques, including a 19th-century boat. A list of expected guests is as curious as the planned activities, including Dennis Rodman, Dave Grohl, Mario Cantone, Richie Rich and “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” star Reeve Carney.
