Sam Donaldson was reportedly arrested for driving under the influence in Delaware.
According to TMZ, the ABC anchor and White House correspondent was allegedly pulled over on Dec. 1 after he had driven onto the shoulder of the road.
During the stop, the 78-year-old reportedly failed a field sobriety test and was subsequently arrested for a DUI.
Donaldson was taken to a police station where he was booked and eventually released.
Law enforcement told the gossip site that Donaldson was very cooperative.
The veteran newsman has worked for ABC News since 1967 and has won many prestigious journalism and television awards.
