Kristen Stewart: ‘I apologize to everyone’

Kristen Stewart already issued a very public apology to her boyfriend Robert Pattinson, but now she’s giving one to her fans.

“I apologize to everyone for making them so angry. It was not my intention,” the normally reclusive actress said in an interview with Newsweek to promote her new film “On the Road.”

The actress was vilified after she was caught cheating on the “Twilight” heartthrob with her married “Snow White” director Rupert Sanders over the summer. Remember the “Kristen Stewart is a Trampire” shirts?

However, Stewart admitted that she’s since been able to shrug off the backlash. “It’s not a terrible thing if you’re either loved or hated,” she said. “But honestly, I don’t care ’cause it doesn’t keep me from doing my [bleep].”

The celeb, who has since reunited with Pattinson, also revealed that she found herself in hiding due to the intense media scrutiny in the wake of the scandal.

“It’s a little annoying having to be so compartmentalized. I go from box to box to box. Like right now, this is so crazy ’cause we’re out at a restaurant.” She added, “But I’m going out a lot more now. I was starting to get closed off and self-conscious, and I’m trudging forth into the world more often.”

Last week, Stewart opened up about the infamous affair and how she found a way to move on.

“You have to be OK with your own fears,” the starlet told The Sun. “If you’re an honest person you’ll make mistakes, but that’s when the most interesting things happen.”

She continued, “I used to just stay in my hotel room rather than deal with everything. But if you get too caught up in what others think you become a really disjointed person.”
