Flu shot specialist flocked by Broadway luminaries

Dr. Barry Kohn was the only person more popular than author and Broadway dancer Tim Federle at Federle’s party Tuesday night for his novel, “Better Nate Than Never.” Kohn, an allergist who founded the Physician Volunteers for the Arts, is responsible for dispensing flu shots to many who can’t afford to get sick in the theater community, some of whom chatted up Kohn at the party about the epidemic. Federle, who has starred in “Gypsy” and “The Little Mermaid” on Broadway, was joined by co-star Sherie Rene Scott, “Peter and the Starcatcher” writer Rick Elice and co-director Roger Rees, and party hosts Thomas Schumacher, president of Disney Theatrical Productions, and hubby Matthew White.
