“Kim K Superstar” lives on. The tape that, for better or worse, put Kim Kardashian on the map almost went up in flames over the weekend.
TMZ reports that a fire broke out on Saturday at the offices of Vivid Entertainment headquarters, placing the unedited master copy of Kardashian’s infamous romp with singer Ray J in peril.
Company chairman Steve Hirsh kept Kardashian’s famed footage in a vault that held several other tapes, including ones starring Kendra Wilkinson, Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, Jimi Hendrix, Vince Neil, Tom Sizemore and Chyna. There were allegedly several other celeb tapes that have never been released.
Kirsch was reportedly at a LA Clippers game when he heard about the fire and, knowing the value of the content, swooped down to his office just in time to save the safe. The safe was singed but the contents were unharmed.
