It was nearly 100 degrees in the shade at Gilligan’s at the Soho Grand on Tuesday, but the crowd gathered at the Australian Fashion Foundation annual summer mixer joked that the blistering heat was just like being back home Down Under. Fabulous fashion insiders — including Francisco Costa, Italo Zucchelli, Dree Hemingway, Ben Watts, Kate Lanphear, Dani Stahl, Shanina Shaik and Malcolm Carfrae — all sweated out the scene, along with actresses Sarah Wynter and Nora Zehetner. Guests sipped on Sveda vodka cocktails and wine from Aussie winery Rosemount to beat the heat. The Australian Fashion Foundation supports Oz designers through financial contributions and by providing networking opportunities.
