Martha Stewart holidays in France with Peggy Siegal, Frédéric Fekkai

When Martha Stewart’s American Airlines flight to France was delayed for four hours last week, stranded JFK passengers passed the time by trading recipes, and even a sausage, with the domestic doyenne. “All the passengers were lining up to talk to her,” said a spy. “Everyone had a cooking story, recipe or snack to share: Twenty people gave her their cards, one woman handed her a pepperoni she made.” Finally in France, we hear Stewart headed to Frédéric Fekkai’s bastide — where the stylist threw a dinner for 100 for the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. Stewart was also spotted at Jean Pigozzi’s Cap d’Antibes villa and a dinner for Woody Allen, who’s filming nearby with Emma Stone and Colin Firth. Guests included the soon-to-be-ex of Nigella Lawson, Charles Saatchi. (No word if he’d turned his attention to fellow culinary queen Stewart.) When Pigozzi, who lives near Roman Abramovich, asked Allen to come for lunch the next day, he did, and Barry Diller stopped by from his yacht Eos. Stewart hit the local market and cooked with her traveling companion Peggy Siegal. Spies later saw the group at restaurant Tetou, where diners included Kyle MacLachlan and Desiree Gruber and Irwin Winkler.
