Gruber in club ‘blood bath’

Calvin Klein’s on-off boy toy Nick Gruber was involved in a bloody fight at a top Hamptons club that ended with one man taken away by ambulance, sources tell Page Six.

Model and one-time erotic star Gruber hit a man in the face during an altercation in East Hampton in the early hours of Sunday morning, spies said. Witnesses tell us the unnamed victim suffered a cut above the eye that was gushing blood and that he was carted away by paramedics.

Police were called to the scene and began a heated search for Gruber, who had fled.

Spies said Gruber began his night at Sienna and Pink Elephant, where guests included Bobby Flay, but he later got into a physical altercation at neighboring nightclub SL East at 12:25 a.m. A spy said Gruber hit another clubgoer, “causing a laceration over his right eye.” But after Gruber and the guy were taken outside, Gruber threw an SL security guard to the ground and ran.

“It was a blood bath,” said Pink Elephant director of VIP relations Artin Bey Archer. “The [other] guy had blood all over his face. I saw him on the ground, and he was . . . taken away in an ambulance. Nick left before around six police cars arrived. Around 20 police officers started a full-scale manhunt . . . using [flashlights] to search through the bushes.” Two SL busboys were seen mopping up blood after the incident.

Gruber’s rep Matt Rich confirmed the altercation, but insisted the model acted in self- defense.

“The guy pushed him first, then there was a bit more pushing. Nick punched him out of self-defense, and the guy suffered a cut above his eye. Nick is fine,” he said. “Nick did not flee the scene, the club security told him to leave. There were no cabs, so he walked to the main road to find one. He has not been questioned by the police. Nick does not know the guy, nor does he know why the guy started pushing him. Unfortunately, when you are a well-known face, people target you for the wrong reasons.”

A local police spokesperson said there was no arrest record, and no further information was available.

Gruber was admitted to rehab last year after punching a man at his apartment.
