It pays to be famous at Reebok Sports Club on the Upper West Side.
Spies say that when funnyman Chris Rock arrived at the tony gym on Columbus Avenue on Friday morning bundled up in a hat and snow boots, staff let him in without having to show his identification.
“He just walked right in,” a miffed witness told us. “He didn’t have to show the front desk his identification card. He gave the guys a nod, and they let him in as everyone else waited to show their cards.”
Our gym-rat source wasn’t too impressed with the star treatment, saying, “We poor schmucks have to show our ID cards — he just walks through!” But she added: “I think he’s the funniest man on the planet, so I don’t care.”
