Shia LaBeouf gets in the buff for a new music video.
In the bizarre clip for a song by Icelandic band Sigur Rós, the “Transformers” star, rocking a short pony tail and a scraggly beard, wakes up in a bed with a blond woman, played by dancer Deena Thomsen.
With overwrought artiness, the couple goes through a pretty unusual morning routine: Thomsen stares at the ceiling and touches some nasty looking bruises on her thighs, and LaBeouf plays with a dead butterfly and kisses it.
Thomsen then unravels dirty bandages from LaBeouf’s knuckles, and he grabs her breast and rubs her nipple with a dirty cloth. Then he looks at some strange marks drawn on her back. (At this point we get the idea this couple may not be in a rush to get to work.)
LaBeouf and Thomsen then stand and face each other completely naked.
The two then go through a series of choreographed dance moves in costumes, in their underwear and in their birthday suits, while a trippy instrumental tune by the band, called, “Fjögur Píanó,” plays.
The clip’s director Alma Har’el said that the full nudity was not planned, but happened spontaneously over the five-day shoot. “That’s the difference between working within a corporate system and something that artistically takes you places you wouldn’t expect,” Har’el told the Wall Street Journal. “To me, it’s erotic, but it’s not selling anything.”
