The high-flying Art Basel fair always attracts the uber-wealthy to Miami Beach, and this year’s no different. Poland’s richest man, Jan Kulczyk — who has been known to buy expensive art with his ex-wife Grazyna — was seen buying pricey beef at Prime 112 steakhouse. The billionaire dined in the Ocean Drive eatery’s wine room Monday night with friends and ordered more than $1,000 in Japanese grade A5 Kobe beef at $35 per ounce for the table. A fellow diner told us, “He seemed to be having fun as he washed the meal down with over $2,000 in wine.” If this is how he kicks off his week with dinner, we wonder what the Polish plutocrat has in mind for his art purchases.
